Max Loves... Channing Tatum

Posted 16 July 2012

Ever since the first Step Up film we’ve all swooned over the slick moves and chiseled….face of Channing Tatum. Most recently he had us all a flutter in The Vow, trying to win the love of his life back (played by Rachel McAdams) after a horrendous car crash gives her a bad case of amnesia.

Lucky for us we get to see him again this week at Chicks at the Flicks in his new film Magic Mike, a film loosely based on his life working as an exotic dancer before he found fame and fortune as an actor.

Legend has it he first came to the attention of the powers at be as a dancer in the Ricky Martin She Bangs music video, we dare you to try and spot him, and a warning if you haven’t seen the vid before – get ready to cringe.

His progression has allowed him to star in a number of gritty films, the most acclaim coming from his performance in A Guide to Recognizing your Saints (2006), as a troubled teen.

These days he’s starring in multiple films and has his own production company with Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan – sorry ladies, they’re married.

Max Foundation for New Zealand Women

Max loves New Zealand women. Not only do we employ over 300 throughout the country, every day we also get to meet hundreds in our stores.

In the spirit of believing every woman should have the opportunity to be the best they can be, we've created a charitable trust called the Max Foundation for New Zealand Women. The aim is to support women (or groups of women) whose actions enhance the wellbeing and advancement of New Zealand women.
