Corporate Social Responsibility

Max takes it's role as a good corporate citizen seriously and as part of the Ezibuy Group participates in the Corporate Responsibility programme which is committed to making a positive impact through environmental, economic and social priorities.
As the Corporate Responsibility programme rolls out it will see Max as well as other companies in the Ezibuy Group focussing on these key areas – Environment, Community, Manufacturing (Marketplace) and Workplace. Within each of these key areas we have identified key priorities that reflect our core values and support our objectives and look forward to updating you on our progress over the coming months.

Community

We want to contribute positively to our communities. We are extremely proud of the work we do with the www.maxfoundation.co.nz which actively supports those individuals and initiatives that enhance and inspire the wellbeing of women in New Zealand.

Environment

A priority focus this year is on our carbon management and understanding our footprint and ways which we can reduce our impact, through transport, travel, packaging initiatives.

Manufacturing (Marketplace)

As we are a leading clothing manufacturer it is crucial that our supply chain is producing goods under safe, fair and legal working conditions. This is why the Ezibuy Group has undertaken an independent audit programme that meets ILO conventions (www.ilo.org) for all our core factories.   Not only do we view the auditing process as a transparent process, we have undertaken a programme to work with our suppliers to improve working conditions rather than just a monitoring approach.

Workplace

The Ezibuy Group is very proud of our work culture and the development of internal programmes ensuring all our employees have a work life balance. We were proud to be one of a limited number of companies to work  the Department of Labour on Work Life Policy.  Based on how successful that programme has been we have been selected   to participate with the Human Rights Commissioner on Employment Equity in New Zealand.
